Bridgeway GreenTech has assembled an outstanding group of leaders to help guide Bridgeway and its clients. Here are the profiles of those leaders:
Frederick H. Schuchardt is the co-founder of Bridgeway Research and founder, President and Chief Executive Officer of Bridgeway GreenTech. Mr. Schuchardt is a serial high-tech entrepreneur with over 35 years experience in the computer industry, including 20 years as the key marketing and operating executive of large and small communications and software companies. Schuchardt also founded Bridgeway Systems, Inc. and pioneered an automated approach to solving the Y2K problem, before transforming Bridgeway Systems to pursue opportunities in the wireless communications industry and to introduce revolutionary and next generation communications technologies.
In 1983 Schuchardt pioneered "Suite Software", the concept of modularly integrated productivity software with a consistent user interface. Schuchardt was also president of MicroPro World Trade, the international division of WordStar International, where he distinguished himself as the head of the word processing world market. While vice president and general manager of GTE Information Systems International Schuchardt was responsible for all operations in Europe and the Middle East for the Brussels, Belgium-based international communications company. Other positions held in the past include Manager of Application Development for American Airlines' SABRE System, the world's first automated airline reservation system.
Douglas A. Burger is Bridgeway's Chief Operating Officer. Mr. Burger has over 40 years of product, program and business development experience in electronics and information systems. At Honeywell, he developed funded product development programs and captured the initial production awards which have since resulted in product sales exceeding $1B. He profitably directed in excess of 70 contracts for communication and electronic product development and production activities with annual revenue exceeding $60M for Gould. Mr. Burger also directed a national and international business development office with international representatives in 35 countries which supported annual growth to $100M in annual awards. At Northrop Grumman, he focused on the development of software products and system implementations for classified defense programs followed by a shift to a business development focus to introduce Northrop Grumman into the federal civil market as an information systems provider. Mr. Burger is a graduate of Penn State in electrical engineering; the University of Maryland in business; with a Masters of Science in Information Systems at George Washington University.
Larry Strober is Bridgeway's Vice President of Business Development. Mr. Strober has over 25 years of experience in bringing innovative products to market. Positions held have included President and CEO, Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Vice President of International Sales and Marketing and Chief Financial Officer. He was a co-founder of QuVIS Inc., the de facto standard in motion image servers for digital cinema and themed entertainment markets and RiverHouse Optics, a developer of optical components for the telecom market. Larry has worked with industry leading products at QuVIS, MicroPro International (WordStar), SyQuest International and Hazeltine Corporation. During the 1980's, Larry worked with Fred Schuchardt at MicroPro World Trade and Schuchardt Software Systems.
Jeffrey E. Ferries is Bridgeway's Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Ferries is a CPA and has over 25 years experience in finance, administration, accounting, and auditing, working for small and large companies. He formerly was an audit partner with Price Waterhouse. He assisted a $75 million Internet advertising company in converting five-years of historical financial statements from cash basis to accrual basis. Work included revenue recognition, receivables, income taxes, personnel costs including accounting for stock options and restricted shares and other current liabilities. He assisted a private telecommunications company with its initial filings with the Securities and Exchange Commission pursuant to a planned merger with a public company. Post-merger, prepared the Form 10Q and 10K. Mr. Ferries developed accounting policies and assumptions and prepared accounting records in conjunction with adoption of FAS 123 (R). Prepared accounting records and memoranda supporting subsequent grants of options and restricted shares; interacted with external auditors on a variety of stock option issues. Assisted with conversion from Equity Edge to a third party service provider following merger. Researched and provided documented support on a variety of other accounting issues including a complex convertible note issuance.
From 1997 to 2000 Mr. Ferries was Chief Financial Officer of Bridgeway Systems, LLC, a Y2K services company affiliated with Bridgeway Systems, Inc. He joined this Y2K services company at an early stage and was responsible for all accounting and administrative functions. Initially developed accounting system and internal control procedures; developed and monitored cash flow projections, prepared private placement memorandum (including financial projections) for funding of $1 million. Developed terms for merger of two affiliated companies. As primary administrative official, developed contracts with technology partners, marketing partners and sales representatives. Mr. Ferries is a Member of California Society of CPAs and holds a B.A. (with high honors) in Accounting from Michigan State University.
